About the Book
Offences against children and juvenile offence has become an independent subject of study at the LL.B. level. It is indeed a good beginning for creating awareness about the rights relating to children. There was also a pressing need and demand of the students to have a handy book on this subject. This book is a humble attempt to comply with that need. The primary aim of this book is to provide the students, teachers and researchers a handy source on the topic ‘offences against children and juvenile offence.” It is an endeavour to make available a book which contains various relevant provisions and case laws pertaining to children on the said topic in a precise manner. This book is divided into two parts. In part I there are fourteen chapters relating to offences against children and part II deals with juvenile justice. All the latest amendments including the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Act, 2021 have been duly incorporated at appropriate places in this book. An attempt has been made to present the subject in simple language and in lucid manner so that it can be within the reach of the students.
